Who we are

A2ZGIF (“we”, “us”) is a free online GIF maker operated from India. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the A2ZGIF website, who processes it, and the choices you have. If you have a question about it, email admin@a2zgif.com.

Your files

When you upload a video, GIF, or image, it is read directly by your browser. Decoding, editing, and exporting all happen locally on your device. Your files are never sent to A2ZGIF's servers, and we never see, store, or have access to them. Advertising and other third-party scripts have no access to your files either.

Your work lives only in the open browser tab. Closing or reloading the tab discards it. Exported files are saved wherever your browser saves downloads.

Loading from a link

If you paste a URL, your browser requests that file directly from the website that hosts it, not through us. That website sees an ordinary request from your browser (including your IP address), just as if you had opened the link yourself, and its own privacy policy applies.

Information we collect

• No accounts. There is no sign-up, so we don't hold names, passwords, or profiles.
• Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages requested may be processed by our hosting provider and, when ads are shown, by Google and its partners (see below).
• Emails you send us, if you choose to contact us.

We don't sell your personal information.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. A2ZGIF itself doesn't set any cookies. Third-party advertising partners may set cookies when ads are shown, as described in the next section.

Local storage

We store three small preferences in your browser's local storage:

These values stay on your device, are never sent to us, and only exist to remember settings you chose. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

To keep A2ZGIF free, we may display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• Google and its partners may process information such as your IP address, device and browser details, and cookie identifiers. Google explains this in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and in its advertising policy.
• Even non-personalized ads use cookies or similar technologies for things like limiting how often you see an ad, measuring performance, and preventing fraud.

We don't control the cookies advertising partners set, and we don't receive the data they collect about you.

Your ad choices

• Opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Ads Settings.
• Opt out of personalized ads from many other third-party vendors at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
• Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Ads may then be less relevant, but the GIF maker keeps working.

Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before cookies are used for personalized ads, through a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform. You can give, refuse, or withdraw consent at any time, and the tool works the same whatever you choose.

Analytics

We don't currently use analytics tools. If we add them, we'll update this policy first and describe what they collect.

Hosting and server logs

Like every website, A2ZGIF's pages and code are delivered by a hosting provider. To serve those files and protect against abuse, the provider may briefly process standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. These logs never contain your files, and we don't use them to identify you.

If you email us

If you contact us at admin@a2zgif.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include. We use it only to reply to you, and we never add you to a mailing list. We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data:

• India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023): the right to information about your data, to correction and erasure, to grievance redressal, and to nominate someone to exercise your rights.
• EEA and UK (GDPR): the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
• California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US states: the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising. We don't sell personal information. To opt out of ad-related sharing, use the ad choices above or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.

Because the app itself collects no personal data, most requests will concern ad cookies, which you can control with the tools above, or emails you've sent us. For anything else, write to us.

Grievances

If you have a concern or complaint about how your data is handled, email admin@a2zgif.com with the subject “Privacy grievance”. We'll acknowledge your message and respond within the time limits required by applicable law.

Children

A2ZGIF is a general-audience tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and we don't ask for ads to be personalized for them. Users under 18 should use the site with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Links to other websites

Ads and pages you load from a link may take you to websites we don't operate. Their own privacy policies apply, and we aren't responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
